EDUCATION BLOGGERS …. I APPLAUD YOU!!!!

July 26, 2013

Everyone has their favorite blog subject or tags. Mine happens to be education. It’s a subject I care deeply about. Being an active university student at the age of 66; I get the best of both worlds. I can connect with my student peers on their levels – their wants, needs, worries, and how they see their future. I also have the pleasure of connecting with the instructors, department chairs, and most of the secretaries that the university would be absolutely lost without. So, I get to see a relatively total picture on whats happening to our education system through the eyes of the economically effected. The people who are directly effected by the rules and regulations sent down from our “elected officials.”

“Irony:” We can give away $Billions$ to world dictators that won’t educate their own people – but, we can’t find the money to fix or our schools.

“Irony:” We can give away $Billions$ to military contractors who always go over-budget, and usually produce a product that doesn’t live up to its hipe – but, we can’t give our teacher’s a raise.

“Satire:” We, the American people, sit and watch this shameless tragedy going on and “to-date” – the same people stay in office and “pee” on our heads.

Is there no honor left; or, is greed going to commodity for a politician???

OK! I’ve had my “little” rant.

Every morning, I’ve taken to reading the blogs under the education tag while having my morning “cupa-joe.” Sometimes I comment, at times I “like” the blog, and sometimes I skip-over someone’s article that I should have read, and I apologize for that. I’m not sure how many of you know,  how many people really care about their children’s education – BUT, there are a lot. What a bunch of “caring” folks to take the time to share their stories with me and so many others. I applaud you all – you are the best.

It dazzles me to read: about what people of “home-schooling” undertake; about teachers who care enough about their students to actually give so much of themselves so the students will have a chance to experience life from a different view; the agonies of students who want to learn and excel, but are so chastised by money, class, economy, race, or other such B.S..

I stand amazed at the “givers” so other folks can succeed. Kids working to help their community centers so everyone can enjoy it. And, the “field-trips just knock me over. Jezzz … I remember being a little guy and the field trips – “train rides to wonderland.”

The pics are all “wonderment.” Just makes one just want to get out there and yell … Whatup?

All of you help start my day just a little-bit better, and I thank you for that!

So, that’s what I had to say. All, please be careful this week, and I’ll look forward to reading you under the “education” tag.

Until next Friday …U B WELL!
